Privacy Policy

Axis Closet (“Axis Closet”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) designs, builds, and installs custom closets and storage across the Greater Toronto Area. This policy explains what personal information we collect through axiscloset.ca, our social media pages, and our advertising, how we use and share it, and the choices you have.
We handle personal information in accordance with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable Ontario privacy law. By using our website or contacting us, you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
When you request a quote, book a free in-home design consultation, send us an email, message us on Instagram or Facebook, or call us, we collect the information you choose to provide. That typically includes:
- your name;
- your email address and/or phone number;
- the address or neighbourhood where the work would be done;
- details about your project — room type, measurements, budget range, timing, photos you send us; and
- anything else you include in your message.
We only ask for what we need to respond to you and to quote, schedule, and complete the work. You are not required to give us this information, but without it we cannot provide a quote or service.
Information collected automatically
When you visit our website, our hosting and content-delivery providers automatically record standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, the pages you viewed, the page that referred you, and the date and time of your visit. This is used to serve the site, keep it secure, and understand traffic in aggregate.
Advertising and measurement information
We advertise on Meta platforms (Facebook and Instagram). To measure and improve those ads, we may use Meta’s business tools — including the Meta Pixel and the Conversions API — on our website. These tools use cookies and similar technologies to record events such as a page view or a quote request, and share them with Meta so we can see how our ads perform and show relevant ads to people who have visited our site. We do not sell your information, and we do not send Meta your name, email, or phone number for advertising purposes unless you have given us that information and we tell you we are doing so.
Information from social media
If you interact with our Instagram or Facebook pages — following, commenting, or messaging — we receive the information those platforms make available to us, such as your public profile name and the content of your message. Your use of those platforms is also governed by their own privacy policies, which we do not control.
2. How we use your information
We use personal information to:
- respond to enquiries and provide quotes and design consultations;
- schedule, deliver, and install your project, and provide follow-up or warranty service;
- invoice and process payment, and keep the business records the law requires us to keep;
- operate, secure, and improve our website;
- measure the effectiveness of our advertising and reach people who may be interested in our services; and
- send you occasional updates or promotions, where you have asked for them or where permitted by Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation. You can unsubscribe at any time.
We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal effects.
3. How we share your information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share it only in these circumstances:
- Service providers. Companies that help us operate — website hosting and content delivery, email, advertising and analytics platforms (including Meta Platforms, Inc.), and payment processing. They may only use the information to perform services for us.
- Installers and suppliers. Where necessary to build and install your project, we share the minimum needed (for example, a delivery address and contact number).
- Legal reasons. Where we are required or permitted by law, or to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
- Business transfer. If the business is sold or reorganized, customer records may transfer as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.
Some of our providers store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States. While information is in another country it may be accessible to that country’s courts and law enforcement under its laws.
4. Cookies and your choices
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. We use them to keep the site working properly and, as described above, for advertising measurement. You can control cookies in your browser settings — blocking or deleting them will not stop you from browsing the site, but some features may behave differently.

5. How long we keep information
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected, and for as long as required by law. In practice, enquiries that do not become projects are kept for up to two years; customer and project records, including invoices, are kept for at least seven years to meet Canadian tax and record-keeping requirements. After that, information is securely deleted or anonymized.
6. How we protect information
We use reasonable physical, organizational, and technical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information — encrypted connections (HTTPS) on our website, access controls on our accounts, and limiting access to the people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your rights
Subject to legal limits, you may:
- ask what personal information we hold about you and request a copy;
- ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- withdraw your consent to our use of your information, or ask us to stop contacting you; and
- ask us to delete your information (see below).
To make a request, email [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity first.
8. Requesting deletion of your data
To have your personal information deleted, email [email protected] with the subject line “Data deletion request” and tell us the name, email address, or phone number you used when you contacted us.
We will confirm receipt and delete the information within 30 days, except for records we are legally required to retain (such as invoices and tax records). We will tell you if anything must be kept and why.
If you interacted with us through Facebook or Instagram, you can also remove our access to your information from that platform’s app settings; that removes the platform’s connection but does not delete anything you sent us directly, so please email us as well.
9. Children’s privacy
Our website and services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Links to other sites
Our website links to other sites, such as our Instagram profile. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites. Please review their privacy policies.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always posted at axiscloset.ca/privacy.html with the date it was last updated at the top. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.
